The Controls You Actually Need in Your First Ten Minutes
You can drive Ghost Driver with four inputs: accelerate, brake, steer and handbrake. Everything else in the full mapping is a convenience you will pick up later. On a keyboard that is the forward key, the brake key, the two steering keys and Shift for rotation. On a controller the same four are the two triggers, the left stick and the handbrake button; on a touchscreen they are the two pedals, the steering control and the drift button.
The habit that separates a beginner from someone who keeps their multiplier is braking before the gap rather than inside it. Ease off as a lane closes, take the space, then get back on the power. Steering should be a feather rather than a flick: hold the direction, feel the car settle, and straighten out.
